Type 441 Compass Pocket Shirt
The Compass Pocket Shirt has symmetrical semicircular front and back tails, with large concentric curved pockets (drawn with a compass) all the way around each front tail.
The sleeves open into faced false cuffs, and the back is seamed up to the collar. The front plackets are folded outwards to accommodate the pocket edges, showing the back of the fabric.

The one-off faded turmeric piece was hung on a rail in a sunny window for several weeks, and has softened to a lovely cowslip yellow, showing brighter yellows inside and in the creases which were hidden from the light.
